Croesyceiliog is a residential suburb and parish on the eastern edge of the new town of Cwmbran in Torfaen, south‑east Wales. Once a small village, it became part of the post‑war Cwmbran New Town and still shows that mix of older buildings and post‑war council and private housing. The area is notable for its local green spaces and woodland, a strong sense of local identity, pubs, churches and community facilities that preserve a village feel despite being absorbed into a larger urban area.
Locally there are schools, sports clubs and small shopping parades serving residents, while many people commute to nearby centres such as Newport and Cardiff or to employment parks across Torfaen. Good road links and proximity to Cwmbran railway station make it reasonably connected, and its history as a discrete settlement folded into the new town gives it an interesting blend of historic roots and post‑war social development.
