Bathampton

Bathampton is a small village just east of Bath in the unitary authority of Bath and North East Somerset, England. Sitting beside the River Avon and the Kennet and Avon Canal, it’s a popular spot for waterside walks and canal boating, and its mix of older stone houses and more recent homes makes it a quiet commuter outpost for the city.

Local highlights include Bathampton Meadows and Bathampton Down, open farmland and woodland that give good views across to Bath’s Georgian skyline and are valued for wildlife and recreation; community campaigns have kept much of that riverside land free from development.
