Hinton Charterhouse is a small, largely rural parish in Bath and North East Somerset, lying a few miles to the south of Bath. The village takes its name from a 13th‑century Carthusian priory on the site and still retains a compact settlement core with a medieval church and a number of listed buildings set in attractive limestone countryside.

Today the parish is largely residential and agricultural, popular with people who want countryside living within easy reach of Bath’s jobs and culture. Community life is quiet but active, centred on village events and the parish council, and the surrounding lanes and footpaths make it a pleasant spot for walkers and those exploring the local countryside.
