Wellow is a small rural village in Bath and North East Somerset, England, sitting on the northern fringe of the Mendip Hills and within easy reach of Bath. The settlement is made up of stone cottages, farmland and hedgerows and is popular with walkers and cyclists for its quiet lanes and network of public footpaths through rolling countryside.
Historically the village lay close to the old Somerset coalfield around Radstock, and traces of that industrial past sit alongside modern commuter households and small-scale farming. Today Wellow retains a strong local feel with community activities and a handful of local amenities, while many residents travel to nearby towns for work and services.
