Cullompton is a compact market town and civil parish in Mid Devon, Devon, England, set in the rolling valley of the River Culm. It sits conveniently between Exeter and Tiverton and close to the M5 (J28), which has helped it become part commuter hub, part local service centre surrounded by farmland and walking country towards the Blackdown Hills.
Historically a wool and cloth centre, the town still wears a pleasantly historic centre with buildings clustered around its market place and the parish church of St Andrew's. Today its economy mixes light industry and distribution parks with independent shops, regular markets and community events; the river has brought flood challenges and subsequent defence work, and there has long been local interest in reopening the railway station to improve links to larger centres.
