Lower Culm is a largely rural ward in Mid Devon in Devon, England, occupying the lower reaches of the River Culm and a scatter of villages and hamlets close to the town of Cullompton. The landscape is typical West Country countryside: rolling farmland, hedgerows, narrow lanes and stone cottages, with parish churches and farmsteads punctuating the valley.
Locally the economy leans on agriculture, small enterprises and commuting to nearby centres such as Exeter and Taunton, while community life revolves around village halls, pubs and parish councils. Historic farmhouses and church features give the area a tangible sense of history, and residents and visitors alike value its quiet riverside walks and unspoilt rural character.
