North Cave is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, set on the gentle agricultural plain just inland from the River Humber and within easy reach of towns such as Hull, Market Weighton and Brough. It enjoys a mix of farmland, pocket woodlands and reclaimed gravel workings, the most notable being the North Cave Wetlands visitor and nature reserve, which draws birdwatchers and families and gives the area a pleasant rural-recreational character.
Historically the village has a compact core of older cottages and a parish church and has long been shaped by agriculture; today the local economy combines farming, small businesses and a number of commuters to nearby centres. Community life is active for a village of its size, with a primary school, a village pub and seasonal events, while nearby amenities such as North Cave Manor and the wetlands add a modest boost from tourism and leisure visitors.
