Sproatley is a small village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire in England, set on the southern edge of the Holderness plain a few miles east of Hull. The landscape is typically flat and agricultural, with arable fields and hedgerows giving way towards the nearby Humber Estuary and coastline.
Historically an agricultural community, Sproatley still has a compact village centre with a parish church, village hall and a pub, and a number of older cottages and listed buildings that speak to its past. Many residents work in farming or commute to Hull, while local clubs and events keep a strong community feel and attract occasional visitors exploring the wider Holderness area.
