Grayshott is a pretty village in East Hampshire, Hampshire, England, sitting close to the Surrey border and only a short distance from Haslemere. It occupies a gently undulating landscape of heath and pine woodland on the edge of the Surrey Hills AONB, and is not far from the dramatic natural hollow of the Devil's Punch Bowl, so it feels quite rural despite good road links.
The village developed as a late-Victorian/Edwardian place prized for its fresh air and became popular with convalescents and artists; today it has a mix of independent shops, cafés and community clubs and a largely commuter population travelling to London via nearby Haslemere. Outdoor recreation, local events and a strong village community remain important to its social and economic life.
