Elvetham Heath is a civil parish in the district of Hart, Hampshire, created on what was once open heathland close to the town of Fleet. Predominantly a modern residential neighbourhood, it combines a mixture of housing with local shops, a primary school and community facilities set around retained green spaces and ponds, giving it a deliberate suburban-with-nature feel.
Its character is that of a commuter-friendly community with good rail and road links to nearby towns and London, while the nearby country estate of Elvetham Hall and surrounding countryside provide a historic and rural backdrop. Active residents’ groups, sports pitches and regular local events contribute to a village-like social life despite the area’s relatively recent development.
