Eversley is a small rural village and civil parish in the district of Hart, Hampshire, England, lying close to the county boundary with Berkshire. It sits amid farmland, small copses and ponds with a traditional village green and a network of lanes and footpaths, giving a decidedly countryside character while remaining within easy reach of larger towns such as Reading.
Historically the village is best known for its 19th‑century rector Charles Kingsley, whose association is still marked at St Mary’s Church; social life revolves around the village hall, primary school and active cricket and community clubs. The local economy is largely agricultural and residential, with many people commuting to nearby towns and London, and the place retains a strong sense of local identity with regular fetes and village events.
