Finchampstead is a large village and civil parish in the borough of Wokingham in Berkshire, England. It sits to the south-west of Wokingham town and is within easy commuting distance of Reading and London, combining a semi-rural feel with good transport links. The parish includes heathland and mixed woodland - notably Finchampstead Common - and is overlooked by the Iron Age earthwork known as Caesar's Camp.
Locally the village has a strong community life with primary schools, sports clubs and traditional pubs, while the economy is largely residential with many people commuting to nearby towns. The wider parish contains small settlements such as California and edges of the forested Nine Mile Ride, so it offers a blend of historic features, outdoor recreation and quiet village character close to larger centres like Bracknell.
