Ulverscroft is a tiny, largely rural civil parish on the edge of Charnwood in Leicestershire, England, set within the rolling heath, ancient woodland and rocky outcrops typical of Charnwood Forest. There is no real village centre and the area is valued for its quiet lanes, walking country and a very small resident population rather than any urban amenities.
Its most striking features are historic and natural: the evocative ruins of a medieval priory dating back to the 12th century and extensive semi-natural habitat that attracts conservation interest and walkers, with links to nearby visitor spots such as Bradgate Park. Locally the economy is predominately agricultural with a strong emphasis on land management and conservation, and the parish is known more for heritage and landscape than for commercial activity.
