Withcote is a small, rural parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, in the East Midlands, lying close to the county boundary with Rutland. The area is characterised by gently rolling farmland, small copses and estate parkland, with a very small, dispersed population and limited local services.
The parish is best known for Withcote Hall and its chapel, notable for an outstanding survival of early Tudor stained glass that attracts interest from historians and the occasional visitor. Locally the economy is still largely agricultural and estate-based, many residents commute to nearby market towns, and the lanes and footpaths make it a pleasant, quiet spot for countryside walking and a close‑knit rural community.
