Tinwell is a small village and civil parish in Rutland, England, sitting on the northern fringe of the county close to the River Welland and the A1, with the Lincolnshire market town of Stamford a short drive away. The surrounding landscape is typical of the Welland valley: rolling farmland, limestone-built cottages and paddocks that make the area popular for equestrian activities and country living.
Historically the village centres on its parish church, which retains Norman and later medieval features, and a number of traditional stone farmhouses and farmsteads. Economically it remains largely rural and agricultural, with a proportion of residents commuting to nearby towns; socially it has a small, close-knit community with local events and a quiet, conservation-minded feel thanks to the river valley habitat.
