Chard North is the northern ward of the market town of Chard in Somerset, England. Set on the edge of the Axe valley and close to the Blackdown Hills, it blends suburban housing with older streets and former mill sites, with the River Axe running nearby and easy road links towards the Devon border and larger towns such as Yeovil.
The area reflects Chard's industrial and transport heritage - textile and light engineering roots and a local claim to early aviation fame - while today it supports a mix of small shops, light industry and commuter households. Community life is fairly active, with local clubs, parish initiatives and a focus on preserving historic character through the town museum and occasional heritage events.
