Cotford St. Luke is a relatively new, purpose-built village on the outskirts of Taunton in Somerset, created from former farmland in the late 20th century. It has a compact village centre with a primary school, community facilities, a parish church dedicated to St Luke and a mix of housing that attracted many young families and first-time buyers.
Geographically it sits within easy reach of the Quantock Hills and the Somerset Levels, and its good road links (notably the nearby M5) make it popular with commuters working in Taunton or further afield. Socially and economically the village feels suburban-rural: a commuter base, small local businesses and active community groups help give it a settled, family-oriented character.
