Rowbarton and Staplegrove lie on the western edge of Taunton in Somerset, occupying a pleasant fringe between the town and the surrounding countryside. The neighbourhoods are served by good road links, including easy access to the M5, and sit alongside low-lying green corridors such as the River Tone, which give them a semi-rural feel despite being close to the town centre.
Staplegrove still shows traces of its long history around the old parish church, while Rowbarton is more mixed residential with pockets of light industry and local shops. Community life is largely centred on local schools, sports pitches and village-style amenities, with many residents commuting into Taunton for work and enjoying nearby country lanes and public open spaces at weekends.
