Long Load is a small village and civil parish in Somerset, England, lying on the southern edge of the Somerset Levels. It keeps a distinctly rural character, with traditional stone and thatch cottages, a parish church and a village green; the settlement grew up around historic local transport and milling on the nearby waterways.
Today Long Load is largely agricultural with a handful of small businesses and many residents who commute to larger towns such as Taunton and Yeovil. Community life is quietly active, centred on the village hall and seasonal events, and the surrounding lanes and lowland wetlands make it popular with walkers and those seeking a peaceful Somerset landscape.
