Huish Episcopi is a rural parish in Somerset, England, lying on the edge of the Somerset Levels beside the River Parrett and close to Langport. Its name points to medieval ownership by the bishops of the diocese, and the village is still marked by the handsome medieval St Mary's Church with its distinctive tower and historic fabric.
The local economy remains largely agricultural with market gardening and small businesses, while many residents commute to Taunton and Yeovil. Community life centres on the well-regarded Huish Episcopi Academy, village facilities and active sports and social clubs, giving the parish a strong village character despite its links to nearby towns.
