Pleck is an inner‑urban ward in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall, in the West Midlands, lying just to the south‑east of Walsall town centre. It has a mixed built character of late‑Victorian terraces and post‑war council housing, reflecting its history as part of the Black Country's industrial belt; remnants of canals, rail lines and light industry give the area a tangible industrial heritage.
Today Pleck combines residential neighbourhoods with pockets of local retail and light manufacturing, and it benefits from decent transport links including nearby access to the M6. The ward faces social and economic challenges common to former industrial areas, but it also has active community groups, green canal‑side spaces and ongoing regeneration work aimed at improving housing and local services.
