South Cornelly is a small village in the county borough of Bridgend in Wales, set on the low-lying coastal plain just inland from the sand dunes of the Kenfig National Nature Reserve. It sits close to the M4 and neighbouring settlements such as Pyle, so while it feels rural it has strong transport links and easy access to nearby towns and the coast.
The village has medieval roots and now shows a mix of older cottages and more recent housing; economically it is largely residential with many people commuting to work while local shops, small businesses and nearby industrial estates provide additional employment. Socially it retains a quiet, community atmosphere with local clubs and events typical of small Welsh villages, benefiting from the nearby nature reserve for recreation and wildlife interest.
