Deri is a small village in the county borough of Caerphilly in Wales, set in the Rhymney Valley close to the larger town of Bargoed and forming part of the community of Gelligaer. Originally established as a coal‑mining settlement during the expansion of the South Wales Coalfield in the 19th century, Deri still shows the terraces and community layout of that era.
