Trallong is a small, rural parish in Powys in mid-Wales, sitting among rolling hills, pastures and hedgerows within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons. The landscape is dominated by farmland and lanes, with streams and small valleys giving the area a quietly scenic, sparsely populated character.
Historically rooted in sheep and cattle farming, the parish still shows traditional features such as stone cottages and former chapel sites, with traces of 19th-century rural industry and old transport routes visible to the observant visitor. Today it remains a close-knit community where agriculture is important, supplemented by some tourism and people commuting to nearby market towns such as Brecon for services and work.
