Wenvoe is a village and community in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, sitting on a ridge a few miles west of Cardiff. Its elevated position is dominated by the masts of the Wenvoe Transmitting Station, which is a familiar landmark across south Wales, and the area mixes rolling farmland with pockets of residential development.
Historically linked to the estate around Wenvoe Castle, the village now feels both rural and commuter-oriented, with many residents working in nearby Cardiff. Local life revolves around community groups, a golf course and easy access to ancient sites such as the chambered tomb at St Lythans, giving the place a blend of local tradition, recreation and traces of a much older landscape.
