Timsbury is a village and civil parish in Bath and North East Somerset on the northern fringe of the Mendip Hills, set in the Somer Valley and within easy commuting distance of Bath and Bristol. Its position near former coal-mining areas such as Radstock gives it a distinct mix of rural landscape and industrial heritage.
Historically linked to the Somerset coalfield, the settlement still shows Victorian terraces and miners’ cottages alongside modern housing. Today it is largely residential with local shops, a pub, a primary school and active community groups; nearby lanes and countryside attract walkers and families while its history and village character remain important to residents.
