Brandon and Byshottles

Brandon and Byshottles is a civil parish on the western outskirts of Durham in County Durham, mixing former colliery villages and quiet agricultural fringes. The landscape is marked by the wooded banks of the River Browney, pockets of semi-rural housing and remnants of industrial archaeology from the coal-mining era that shaped the local communities.
