Langley Park is a village in County Durham, set in the Browney Valley a few miles west of Durham. It sits on the edge of the old Durham coalfield amid rolling farmland and mixed woodland, with handy commuting links into the city and to Newcastle, and local paths that are popular with walkers.
Originally developed as a 19th‑century coal‑mining community, Langley Park still shows its industrial heritage in terraced streets and landscaped pit sites, but today the village has a quieter, community‑focused character - with a village hall, pubs, sports clubs and local groups that sustain social and cultural life while the economy has shifted towards services and commuting.
