Combe Raleigh is a small village and civil parish in East Devon, set in a shallow combe of rolling farmland a few miles from Honiton. The settlement has medieval roots - its name reflects the valley ("combe") and the historical Raleigh family association - and you still find a compact cluster of traditional cottages and a historic parish church tucked into the lanes, giving it a distinctly rural Devon character.
Locally the economy is largely agricultural, with mixed smallholdings and some residents commuting to larger centres such as Exeter; services are limited so people tend to rely on nearby market towns. The area appeals to walkers and those after a quieter pace, lying within easy reach of the Blackdown Hills and the wider charms of Devon and England’s south-west countryside.
