Whitehill is a small town in the district of East Hampshire, in the county of Hampshire, England, lying on the low heathland north of the South Downs and immediately adjacent to Bordon. The area sits close to large tracts of pine and heath - notably Alice Holt Forest and Woolmer Forest - so outdoor recreation and woodland landscapes are a defining local feature.
Historically the settlement grew up to serve nearby military camps and training grounds, and more recently the Whitehill-Bordon area has been the focus of significant regeneration and redevelopment, with new housing, employment space and greener infrastructure aimed at diversifying the local economy beyond defence. Today it feels like a small, practical market-town community with local shops, leisure facilities and easy road links towards Farnham and Petersfield, and a strong local identity tied to its forested surroundings and recent civic renewal.
