Map of the UK

St. Helens is a small coastal village and civil parish on the eastern edge of the Isle of Wight, best known for its fine stretch of beach and the low-lying nature area called The Duver. The Duver’s mix of shingle, sand and saltmarsh draws walkers, birdwatchers and families, and the village enjoys wide views across the Solent toward the mainland.

Locally there’s a strong sense of history and community: a medieval parish church stands inland, small-scale maritime and yachting activity has long shaped local life, and an offshore Victorian sea fort marks the coastline. The economy is driven largely by tourism and leisure boating, with a handful of shops, a pub and community facilities serving a close-knit population that swells in summer.
