Eastoft is a small village and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, sitting on the northern edge of the Isle of Axholme amid the low-lying fenland of Hatfield Chase. The landscape is defined by a tight network of drains, dykes and reedbeds and its proximity to waterways such as the River Trent, giving the area a distinctive flat, open character popular with walkers and birdwatchers.
Traditionally an agricultural community, Eastoft retains a quiet, village feel with a parish church, village hall and seasonal community events; its history is shaped by 17th-century drainage schemes and later peat and arable industries. The settlement is a short distance from neighbouring centres such as Crowle, and although once linked into local light railway networks that moved agricultural produce, today it is primarily residential and farming-focused while still attracting visitors for its fenland heritage.
