Apethorpe is a small village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, set in gently rolling agricultural countryside a short drive from market towns such as Oundle and Peterborough. The settlement retains a compact, village character with traditional cottages, a parish church and surrounding farmland and parkland that give it a quiet, rural feel.
Its most notable feature is Apethorpe Hall, a Grade Iālisted country house of great architectural and historic interest whose formal grounds and estate shape much of the local landscape; the hall brings occasional visitors and a conservation focus to the area. The local economy remains largely rural and residential, with some commuting to nearby towns, while village life centres on the church, village hall and the passing rhythms of country living.
