Nassington is a small village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, set in the gently undulating Nene valley beside the River Nene. It sits a few miles from the market town of Oundle and within easy reach of Peterborough, enjoying the rural mosaic of arable fields, riverside meadows and the surviving pockets of Rockingham Forest that make the area popular with walkers; long‑distance routes such as the Nene Way run close by.
The village has a centuries‑old core with several listed buildings and a traditional parish church, reflecting a long rural history. Economically it has been dominated by agriculture but in recent decades has become partly a commuter settlement for nearby towns; socially Nassington retains an active local life around its village hall and community events, and benefits from easy access to country pursuits and nearby historic houses.
