Stanwick is a small village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, set in the broad Nene valley amid arable fields and wetland pockets close to the River Nene. The area is well known for the nearby Stanwick Lakes, a reclaimed gravel‑pit nature reserve and country‑park popular with walkers, birdwatchers and families, which gives the parish a stronger visitor economy than many rural settlements of its size.
Historically the parish is notable for extensive Iron Age earthworks around Stanwick Camp, making it of real archaeological interest; today the local economy remains largely agricultural with some small businesses and tourism linked to the lakes and heritage, and the village retains a close‑knit community feel with local events and facilities serving residents and visitors.
