Curry Rivel is a large village and civil parish in Somerset, England, sitting on the southern edge of the Somerset Levels beside the River Isle. Its low-lying landscape of pasture and orchards, with a history of wetland habitat and occasional flooding, gives the place a distinctly rural character while keeping it close to neighbouring market towns such as Langport and within easy reach of Taunton.
The village has medieval roots and notable historic buildings, including the parish St Andrew's Church and a number of Georgian houses; its name reflects medieval landholding by the Rivel family. Local life is centred on a busy village hall, a primary school and community events, and the economy remains driven by agriculture (including traditional Somerset cider country) alongside commuters and small local businesses.
