Stoke St. Gregory is a small village and civil parish on the southern edge of the Somerset Levels, a short drive from Taunton. The surrounding landscape of low-lying fields and drainage rhynes gives it a distinctive wetland character and makes it popular with walkers and birdwatchers.
Historically the village has links with willow growing and traditional rural trades; today its economy mixes agriculture with commuters and small local businesses. Community life centres on the medieval parish church, the village hall and pub, with an active programme of local clubs and seasonal events that keep a strong village spirit.
