Tatworth is a village in South Somerset, England, lying just to the west of the small market town of Chard and close to the border with Devon. It sits in gently rolling countryside on the northern fringe of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so it’s popular with walkers and those wanting a rural base within easy reach of regional roads and services.
The village retains a strong community feel, with a primary school, village hall and active sports clubs, and a mix of traditional stone cottages and more modern housing. Historically the area was agricultural with local cider-making and rural trades, but nowadays many residents commute to nearby towns while local life often centres on community events and outdoor recreation.
