Tatworth and Forton is a rural civil parish in South Somerset, Somerset, England, situated just to the west of the market town of Chard. The area is typical of south Somerset countryside, with rolling hedged fields, small woodlands and easy access to walking country and the nearby Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Locally the economy remains rooted in agriculture alongside small businesses and trades, while village life is sustained by community groups, a village hall and the sort of seasonal fetes and sports clubs that keep rural communities active. Historic farmsteads and a mix of older cottages and more modern homes reflect the parish’s gradual evolution from a purely agricultural landscape to one where many residents commute to nearby towns for work.
