Wembdon is a compact village on the eastern fringe of the Quantock Hills in Somerset, England. It lies a couple of miles from Bridgwater and borders the flat pastureland of the Somerset Levels, with views that pick out the River Parrett and Bridgwater Bay, so you get a pleasing mix of rolling hill scenery and lowland wetland nearby.
The village has medieval roots and retains a church, community hall and a small cluster of local amenities alongside more recent housing, reflecting both its agricultural past and a modern commuter role for nearby towns and the M5. Village life is quietly community-focused, with local groups, occasional events and easy access to walking, wildlife watching and the coastal landscapes close at hand.
