East Knoyle is a small rural village and civil parish in south‑west Wiltshire, England, lying close to the Dorset border and on the edge of the chalk downland of Cranborne Chase. The landscape is a mix of farmland and pockets of ancient woodland, with quiet lanes and a scattering of historic houses and farmsteads that give it a strongly agricultural character.
Historically the village is best known as the birthplace of Sir Christopher Wren and the parish church has long associations with his family; more broadly the area has a string of manorial and ecclesiastical links reflected in its buildings. Today local life revolves around farming, a few small businesses and village amenities such as the pub and hall, while walkers and visitors are drawn by the surrounding countryside and its archaeological and natural interest.
