Steeple Langford is a small, rural parish in Wiltshire, England, set on chalk downland in a shallow river valley a short drive north of Salisbury. The settlement is scattered between a few hamlets and farmsteads, with the church steeple - from which the name derives - remaining a local landmark visible across the surrounding fields.
Historically the area has a long agricultural tradition and a number of old houses and farm buildings give the parish a distinctly historic character; the surrounding downland and river meadows also attract walkers and those interested in the region’s prehistoric and medieval past. Today life in the parish is a mix of farming, small-scale rural enterprises and residents who commute to nearby towns, while local community activities tend to centre on the church and village gatherings.
