Till Valley in Wiltshire is a largely rural ward named for the little River Till that runs through low-lying farmland and rolling chalk downland. The landscape is a patchwork of arable fields, pasture and hedgerows, with scattered villages and hamlets, historic parish churches and old farmsteads hinting at a long agricultural past and occasional archaeological remains from medieval times.
Economically it remains dominated by farming and small local businesses, with many residents commuting to nearby market towns for work; tourism and outdoor recreation also play a part thanks to the countryside. Community life tends to centre on village halls, pubs and annual events, and as an electoral ward it sends councillors to Wiltshire Council, with local concerns often around rural services, transport and housing provision.
