Ladybank is a small village in central Fife, Scotland, set in the gently rolling farmland of the Howe of Fife. It grew noticeably in the 19th century with the arrival of the railways and still sits at an important local junction, with services linking through to Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth, which gives the village a transport role disproportionate to its size.
Today Ladybank combines a quiet, rural character with the practicalities of a commuter and farming community: local shops, community groups and a primary school serve residents, while nearby towns such as Cupar and St Andrews and the wider Fife coast are easily reached for work, education and leisure. The surrounding agricultural landscape, railway heritage and proximity to larger centres shape both the local economy and social life.
