Chapelhall is a small village in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, a few miles east of Airdrie and close to Coatbridge. It sits on the edge of the industrial belt and benefits from good road links - notably the M8 and M73 - which makes it a convenient commuter base for people working elsewhere in the Central Belt.
Historically a mining and industrial community, Chapelhall still shows that heritage in its housing and street pattern, though many pits and heavy works have gone and been replaced by light industry and industrial estates. The village retains a strong local identity with community groups, local shops and green spaces, and has seen pockets of regeneration aimed at improving services and the local environment.
