The village of Gargunnock in Stirling, Scotland, sits on the southern edge of the River Forth valley at the foot of the Gargunnock Hills, roughly six miles west of Stirling. Its setting gives fine views and easy access to hill walks and country lanes, and the surrounding farmland and woodlands shape much of the local character.
Gargunnock has a compact historic core with stone cottages and the nearby estate of Gargunnock House with walled gardens; it supports a primary school, community hall and village pub and stages regular local events including agricultural displays and fairs. Economically it remains largely rural - farming, forestry and small-scale tourism - while many residents commute into Stirling or Glasgow, keeping the village socially close-knit.
