Cefn Cribwr is a small village and community on the northern fringe of Bridgend in Wales, lying within easy reach of the M4 corridor. It occupies a pleasant mix of residential streets, farmland and pockets of reclaimed industrial landscape, so you get a countryside feel while still being close to larger towns and the coast.
The place is best known for its industrial past – the remains of late 18th‑century ironworks and associated workers’ housing give it a strong sense of heritage and are used as a focus for local walking routes and community history projects. Today it functions largely as a commuter and local‑service settlement with an active village life centred on community groups and village facilities, offering a quiet base close to the amenities of the wider South Wales area.
