Pembrey is a coastal village in Carmarthenshire, Wales, sitting on the south coast between Burry Port and Kidwelly. It’s best known for the long sweep of sands at Cefn Sidan and the large green space of Pembrey Country Park, where dunes, woodland and cycle paths meet a popular beach used for walking, watersports and birdwatching.
Historically the area was tied into the coal and maritime economy of nearby Llanelli, and the village still bears traces of its industrial past alongside leisure uses: a former RAF site at RAF Pembrey now hosts light aviation and events, and the nearby Pembrey Circuit brings motorsport visitors. Today Pembrey mixes a quiet local community with tourism and outdoor recreation as important economic and social influences.
