Penderry is a parish in the north of Swansea, Wales, sitting on the city’s urban fringe and largely residential in character. It occupies gently undulating ground within easy reach of the city centre and local green spaces, with a mix of housing and small local shopping and community facilities serving the neighbourhood.
Much of the area was developed in the post‑war period with council housing and retains a strong sense of local community centred on schools, churches and community halls. Like many parts of Swansea it felt the effects of industrial decline, but has been the focus of ongoing regeneration and community projects aimed at improving services, housing and employment opportunities for residents.
