Llangyfelach is a semi-rural village and community on the northern edge of the city of Swansea in south-west Wales, set among rolling countryside with good road links to the city and the M4. The settlement combines older farmsteads and stone cottages with pockets of more recent housing and light industry, so many residents commute into Swansea while enjoying a village atmosphere.
Historically part of Glamorgan, the community centres on an ancient parish church with medieval roots and retains a strong local identity through a village hall, pub and community groups. While the wider area shares in Swansea’s industrial past, Llangyfelach today is valued for its green spaces, views and a quieter pace of life close to urban amenities.
